Stephanie Powell
Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor
I strive to create a therapeutic environment where clients feel
comfortable and supported to talk about whatever is foremost on
their mind. My role as a therapist is to listen, help clients make
sense of their thoughts and feelings, and find ways to cope with
specific problems.
I have 17 years of experience in the mental health field working
with a variety of clients in multiple settings. My education
includes a Master's degree in Counseling from Boise State
University and a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from
Fielding Graduate University. I have extensive post-graduate
training and experience in diagnosis and treatment of
trauma-related disorders.
I provide psychotherapy services for couples, families, adults,
and adolescents (age 15 and up), utilizing variety of therapeutic
techniques to meet individual treatment needs. I have particular
interest and expertise working with Military Service Members and
Veterans in post-deployment adjustment, traumatic brain injury,
combat trauma, moral injury, traumatic grief, and transition after
military discharge. I also offer consultation and independent
diagnostic evaluations for PTSD and trauma-related disorders.
